How an online business round works, step by step
A business round (a B2B matchmaking event) is a series of short meetings between companies that could do business together. In the online format, everything happens by video call, and the platform organizes the schedule: who talks to whom, in what order and for how long. You just need to be there and know how to introduce your company. This is how each stage works:
01You enter the preparation room
A few minutes before the start, each company enters the preparation room. There you test your camera and microphone, check your profile and wait for the countdown. There is nothing to install: everything happens in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
02The first meeting starts on its own
When the round begins, the platform opens the first video meeting with a company chosen for you. The screen shows the name, the company, what it does and what it is looking for, and why it was suggested. A timer shows how much time is left and whose turn it is to speak.
03Switching meetings is automatic
Near the end, the timer changes color and a notice reminds you to agree on the next step. Nobody needs to click anything or look for the next room: the platform ends the meeting and opens the next one in the same place.
04Each conversation is with a different company
The following meetings are with other profiles: a potential customer, a supplier, a partner. The suggestions come from what each company has said it offers and is looking for, so every conversation has a reason to happen.
05You choose who you want to keep talking to
During the conversation, a button on the screen lets you say whether you want to stay in touch. The other company does the same, without seeing your answer. When the meeting ends, the platform tells you: if both of you said yes, contact details are shared; if not, nobody gets a call from someone they did not choose.
06Your connections are saved
At the end, the screen shows the round summary, and the connections with mutual interest are kept in My Connections, with the details for the follow-up. From there, the conversation is in your hands.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to turn on my camera to use the simulator?
No. The simulator uses animated portraits instead of video and asks for no permissions. In a real round, the camera and microphone are tested in the preparation room, before the first meeting starts.
Are the simulator screens the same as the real round?
Yes, they are the same components as the meeting room: preparation, the timer with each person's turn to speak, the other company's card, the interest button, the mutual interest notice and the final summary. Only the timing is sped up and the video becomes an animated portrait.
What if my connection drops in the middle of a meeting?
Just join again through the same link. The round carries on where it was, and you go back to the meeting in progress or to the next one.
Do I need to be good with technology?
No. If you have ever made a video call on your phone, you know how to take part. The platform takes care of the schedule, opens each meeting on its own and shows you what to do at every moment.
How long does each conversation last in a real round?
A few minutes, enough for each company to introduce itself and find out whether it is worth continuing. The length of each meeting is set by the event organizer, and an indicator on the screen shows whose turn it is to speak.
How much does it cost to take part?
Your company's first business round is on us, with just an active CNPJ (Brazilian company tax ID). After that, there are plans for those who want to take part every month.
