For retail associations (CDLs) and their federations

A shop owner cannot close the store to attend an event. The round goes to them.

Run online business rounds under your CDL's brand. Each retailer meets suppliers, distributors, service providers and other retailers, one at a time, in short video meetings, at a time that does not compete with the counter.

A no-strings conversation. If it does not make sense for your CDL, we will tell you.

You know this scene.

  • The event starts at three in the afternoon, and the retailer who most needed to be there is serving a customer.
  • The retailer has bought from the same supplier for years because there is no time to look for another one.
  • The region's manufacturer sells to other states and has never been introduced to the stores in its own city.
  • The CDL in the next town has retailers who could be suppliers or partners of yours, and nobody brings the two bases together.

Retailers want to meet people who help them sell more or buy better. What is missing is a format that fits the store's routine.

The problem and the opportunity

The problem

Events during business hours do not reach the people behind the counter.

A small store depends on the owner behind the counter. Talks, business breakfasts and trade shows happen when they cannot leave, and the ones who show up are usually those with staff to cover for them.

And even when they go, the meeting is among retailers. The people who sell to retailers (suppliers, distributors, regional manufacturers, service providers) are rarely in the same room, organized to talk.

The CDL has the base suppliers want to reach and the retailers who want to buy better. What is missing is putting both sides face to face.

The opportunity

A round before the store opens or after it closes.

In an online round, each participant meets other companies, one at a time, on a timed video call, right in the browser. A round can fit into a morning before the store opens, or early in the evening.

The CDL chooses the format: retailers among themselves, retailers with invited suppliers and distributors, or retailers with the region's manufacturers. Pairs form live, by affinity between what each company offers and looks for.

And the round does not have to stop at the city limits: neighboring CDLs, or the state federation, can combine their bases in a single round, with nobody traveling.

The retailer leaves the round with a new supplier, partner or customer, and knows it was the CDL that made the introduction.

How it works

Five steps, and four of them belong to the platform.

  1. 1

    You create the round

Date, duration and capacity. The round carries your name and your brand: it is your event, not ours.

  2. 2

    Invite retailers and suppliers

A registration link you can publish on your website, send on WhatsApp or add to the email you already send.

  3. 3

    The platform makes the pairs

By business fit, or at random, as you prefer. Nobody repeats a conversation while there is someone new to meet.

  4. 4

On the day, you just watch

The video calls happen inside the platform, timed, with automatic rotation. You follow attendance and connections in real time, or not even that, if you schedule an automatic start.

  5. 5

    Contact details are shared

Only when both sides mark interest. The contact list of the people you invited does not become anyone's mailing list.

What the CDL gains

Three gains members can see.

01 · Buying and selling

Both sides of the counter in the same round

Invited suppliers and distributors meet the retailers who buy from them. The CDL becomes the place where retailers find people who help them buy better.

02 · Network

Rounds between CDLs and with the federation

Two or more CDLs can combine their bases in an online round. Retailers meet companies from other cities without traveling, and the CDL gains a reason to work with its neighbors.

03 · Accountability

Numbers to take to the board

At the end, the organizer report shows attendance, conversations and mutual connections, also as a PDF. To compare with other formats, there is the cost per meeting calculator.

The objection everyone raises

“What if it goes wrong in front of the people I invited?”

It is the right question. You are putting your reputation on the line, not ours. That is why two things stay in your hands.

The Sandbox. A training environment separate from production, included in every organizer plan. You build the whole round, simulate it with test participants and train your team as many times as you want, without spending your quota and without anything reaching the people you invited. Happy with it? Publish to production in one click.

Opening seats to subscribers. Your round does not depend only on the people you invited. If your list brings 12 companies and you want 25, you can open the remaining seats to platform subscribers at no extra cost. The call is yours and it stands until the day before: keep the round closed, with your guests only, or fill it with business owners from outside.

First steps

Start with a single round.

Pick a small slice (one retail sector, a group of regional suppliers or the neighboring CDL) and run the first round in the Sandbox, without inviting anyone, until the team feels confident. Then just open registration.

Questions from CDLs

What people usually ask before deciding.

How much of my team's time will this take?

Creating the round takes a few minutes. The real work is inviting people, and that is usually one email and a few WhatsApp messages. On the day of the event you do not need anyone running it: the platform makes the pairs, keeps time and handles the rotation. If you want, schedule an automatic start and you do not even need to log in.

Will people want to take part?

The ones looking for new customers will, and they are usually the majority. In a first round, expect a small share of those invited, not the whole member base. Start with the people you have the closest relationship with and use the first round as proof for the next ones.

Do I need to be good with technology?

No. Everything happens in the browser, with nothing to install and no link to copy and paste. There is a full overview of the organizer features if you want detail. Participants come in, test their camera and microphone, and the platform takes them to each meeting at the right time.

What if only a few people show up?

You can open the remaining seats to platform subscribers at no extra cost, so the people you invited also talk to business owners from outside your list. It is your choice, and you can switch it on and off until the day before. If the number of attendees is odd, the rotation spreads the break among everyone and nobody is left out.

Can I test before inviting people?

Yes, and it is the part that reassures first-time organizers the most. The Sandbox is an environment separate from production where you simulate the whole round with test participants, train your team and fine-tune the setup. It does not use your event quota and nothing reaches the people you invited.

How does payment work, and can I cancel?

Monthly or six-month subscription, with no lock-in and no penalty. You cancel from your own account whenever you want and keep access until the end of the period already paid. Prices and terms are on the plans and pricing page.

What time does the round take place?

Whenever the CDL schedules it. Since everything is online, it can happen before the store opens or early in the evening. The length of each conversation and the number of rounds are also up to the CDL.

Can we invite suppliers and distributors who are not members?

Yes. The round belongs to the CDL, and it invites whoever it wants, through the registration link or the participant spreadsheet. Pairs form by affinity between what each company offers and looks for.

Can two CDLs run a round together?

They can. One organization creates the round, both invite their bases, and the conversations happen over video, with nobody traveling. It is also a format for the federation to bring together the state's CDLs.

Next step

Twenty minutes to see if it makes sense for your retailers.

A video call. We show you a round in action, you build a test one with your CDL's brand in the Sandbox and decide afterwards, with no card and no sign-up.
