Before you even switch on the camera, your profile is already working: it is how other participants know who you are, what your company does and what you are looking for. A complete record under My company turns each meeting from "introducing yourself from scratch" into "continuing a conversation that has already started".

What cannot be missing

  • What the company does — in a sentence a layperson would understand, with no internal jargon.
  • For whom — the typical client: sector, size, region.
  • What you are looking for — clients, suppliers, partners, representatives? Saying it clearly steers the conversation.
  • Contact details and website — when there is mutual interest, that is how people will reach you.

A simple test

Reread your profile and ask: "if I were another participant, would I know within 30 seconds whether it is worth doing business with me?" If the answer is no, rewrite it. A good profile is not the longest one — it is the one that quickly answers the three questions: who you are, what you do and what you want.
