A genuine smile at the start of the conversation lightens the mood and shows willingness to talk — even in a business context.
Punctuality
Enter the Preparation Room a few minutes early. Arriving late to a round means losing part of (or all of) a conversation that will not happen again.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Talking while looking at your phone or another screen.
- Eating or drinking during the conversation.
- Interrupting the other person — remember, time is short for both of you.
